Vol. 153 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Afforestation.

asked the Minister for Lands when work will commence on the proposed afforestation schemes for North Kerry.

Acquisition proceedings have not advanced sufficiently to enable me to indicate when the areas in question may be acquired for forestry purposes.

asked the Minister for Lands whether lands at Oylegate, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, have been offered to his Department for forestry purposes, and, if so, what is the present position in the matter.

Three offers totalling 83 acres in the vicinity of Oylegate have been inspected and are under consideration.

Five other offers totalling 40 acres have been received in this district and inspection will be arranged as soon as possible.
