Vol. 153 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turkey Prices.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in view of the increased cost of feeding stuffs, he will fix a higher price for turkeys this season.

I would remind the Deputy that the price of turkeys has not been fixed for the past two seasons and I have no power to fix the price for the coming season. The export market is free and the price which poultry producers will receive will, therefore, be determined mainly by the price obtainable for our turkeys on that market.
