Vol. 153 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Defence Forces Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he received a memorandum in July, 1954, from the Defence Forces ex-N.C.O.s and Men's Pensions Association claiming an adjustment in their pension rates, and, if so, if he will give the matter early and favourable consideration.

I received the memorandum referred to by the Deputy but I regret that I am not yet in a position to say when a decision is likely to be taken. I am doing all I can to have a decision reached.

Will the Minister see that the 1922 men who come out on the very lowest scale will get full consideration and not be passed over?

I will do my best in that matter.
