Prisoners of War and Enemy Aliens Bill, 1956—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to provide for the internment of prisoners of war and enemy aliens and to enable, so far as Ireland is concerned, effect to be given to and advantage taken of certain provisions contained in the conventions relative to the treatment of prisoners of war and the protection of civilian persons in time of war which were signed on behalf of Ireland at Geneva on the 19th day of December, 1949.—(Minister for Defence.)
