Vol. 156 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Adoption of Irish Children.

asked the Minister for Justice whether any children, who were temporary inmates of the County Hospital, Croom, County Limerick, were adopted by American citizens, and, if so, if he will state the circumstances of such adoptions.

The answer to the first part of the question is that some such children have been taken out of the country with a view to adoption.

I am satisfied that there was nothing irregular or unlawful about this.
