Vol. 156 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers - Telephone Directory.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that there is widespread dissatisfaction because of the shoddy and defective binding of the current issue of the telephone directory, and, if so, if he will take steps to ensure that the next issue and subsequent issues will be bound in such a manner as to withstand reasonable usage without falling to pieces.

Some complaints, relatively small in number, have been received about the binding of the current issue of the directory. Replacement copies are immediately supplied to the subscribers concerned in all such cases. The question of improving the binding of future issues has already been referred to the Stationery Office which is responsible for the production of the directory.

I would appreciate it if the Minister would arrange to have replacements made in the rooms of this House.
