Vol. 157 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Replacement of Dripsey Bridge.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether, in view of the serious losses affecting the local creamery, schools and other parish interests, he can now give definite information regarding the replacement by the E.S.B. of Fitzgibbon Bridge, Dripsey, County Cork, and whether, in consideration of the problems submitted to him by the deputation from the area, he can now allay the anxieties of those concerned.

I have no functions in this matter, unless or until it is referred to me for consultation by the Minister for Industry and Commerce in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1945. If it is so referred to me, the representations made by the deputation which I received last November will be fully considered before I give my views to the Minister for Industry and Commerce.
