Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Disablement Allowances.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state (a) the total amount paid by way of maintenance allowances to disabled persons in Dublin under Section 50, sub-section (5) of the Health Act, 1953, and the total number of persons in receipt of such allowances during each of the last two financial years, and (b) the total number of applications from residents of Dublin which were rejected during each such period.

As the information requested consists largely of figures, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

The information requested in regard to applications under the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations, 1954, in Dublin County Borough, to which it is presumed the Deputy's question refers, is as follows:—

Total amount of allowances paid from the commencement of the scheme on the 1st October, 1954, to the 31st March, 1955
