asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received from the Donegal County Council an application for sanction to raise a loan of £55,000 for the purpose of making advances to borrowers under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Acts, and, if so, when the application was made, and when he proposes to issue sanction.

The application referred to was received in my Department on 23rd April last and the borrowing proposed was sanctioned on 9th May. The Commissioners of Public Works were recommended on the same date to make the loan available from the Local Loans Fund.
