Vol. 159 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arable Land Statistics.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state for the years 1900 and 1955 the area of arable land in each of the counties of Cork, Kerry, Clare, Mayo, Galway, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

The particulars available for a reply to the Deputy's question relate to the area under crops and pasture at each period. I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing such areas for the specified counties in 1900 and in 1955.

Following is the statement:—
