In addition to these estates there is a number of remnants and small units on hands.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the Duffy estate, Quigabar, County Sligo, for the rearrangement of run-dale and the relief of congestion which exists in that locality, and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission instituted proceedings for the acquisition of this estate some years ago but an objection lodged by the owners was allowed. However, I have asked that further inquiries be now made.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the position of the O'Hara estates, Deerpark and Annaghmore, County Sligo, and when they will be ready for distribution.

The lands of Deerpark containing 122 acres on the O'Hara estate were acquired by the Land Commission in 1954 and have since been disposed of.

Proceedings to acquire 116 acres in the townland of Rathmore from the Annaghmore Estates Company have reached an advanced stage but possession has not yet been obtained. I am unable to forecast, therefore, when disposal will be effected.

asked the Minister for Lands when it is proposed to formulate a scheme for the distribution of the Leyden, or Gilmartin, lands, Gortnaleck, Grange, County Sligo.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his question regarding this estate on 23rd November last. The stay, put on the Order disallowing the owner's objection to acquisition, has not yet expired, and for the present, therefore, the formulation of a scheme does not arise.
