Vol. 159 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allocation of Donegal Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands why a house and lands on the Rankin estate, Listicall, Carrigans, have not been allocated by the Land Commission.

The Land Commission expect to be in a position to dispose of the house and lands at Listicall before the end of this year when lettings expire. A provisional contract for the allotment of the property has been entered into.

asked the Minister for Lands why a house and lands on the Bowen estate, Speenogue, Burt, County Donegal, have not been allocated by the Land Commission.

A migrant selected for the house and lands two years ago declined the offer. Fresh proposals for the disposal of the property are at present being considered by the Land Commission. If these proposals are approved they hope to be in a position to carry out the allotment before the end of this year.

Are we to take it that there is only one house and one portion of land to be handed over in this area? To put the question in another way, is the Minister not aware that there are quite a number of holdings available for disposal in that area that have not yet been disposed of?

If the Deputy puts down a question in these terms I will give him the information.

Surely the information must be at the Minister's disposal——

Question No. 10.
