Vol. 159 No. 9

Business of the Dáil.

It has been agreed with the Opposition that the sitting should go on later than 5 p.m for the completion of uncontested business.

It is clear that uncontested business means that there will be no division on any Estimate after 5 p.m.?

That would be the usual interpretation.

I mention that in case there would be any ambiguity.

The Estimates are for the Post Office and broadcasting.

Does that mean that if the Estimate for Education does not conclude before 5 p.m. the motion to refer back will not be pressed to a division?

Mr. de Valera

We shall see at 5 p.m.
