Questions— Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Wexford Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the present position in connection with the Land Commission proceedings to acquire for division among local small holders lands at (a) Ballybeg and Ballycumber South, and (b) the Sweetman estate, Clohamon, County Wexford.

The Land Commission have acquired 96 acres of the lands of Ballybeg and Ballycumber South on the O'Toole estate and a scheme for the division thereof is in course of preparation.

They have no proceedings for the acquisition of the former Sweetman estate but the matter is being kept under review.
