I move:—
That a sum not exceeding £13,500 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Chatge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1957, for a Grant to An Comhairle Ealation (No. 9 of 1951).
At this hour, I cannot make many observations on this Estimate, much as I should like to do. One of the principal activities of the Comhairle this year was to republish Dr. Thomas Bodkin's book Hugh Land And His Pictures. It has been sent to every member of the British House of Commons and to some members of the House of Lords in the hope that some results will be achieved in getting back the pictures to this country.
