Mr. O'Malley

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of 1st October in each of the years 1953 to 1956 (a) the number of local authority houses in course of construction, and (b) the total number of men employed on such building operations.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, in respect of the last day of each month in the period May, 1956, to September, 1956, inclusive (a) the number of local authority houses (i) in course of construction, (ii) for which tenders were accepted, (iii) for which site development was in progress, and (iv) for which sites had been acquired but no development work commenced; and (b) the number of workers employed, indicating skilled workers separately, on such housing schemes.
