Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sale of Unemployment Stamps.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of unemployment stamps sold in the years ended 31st March, 1955 and 1956, respectively.

Separate stamps in respect of unemployment insurance were replaced as from the 5th January, 1953, by combined stamps in respect of all the insurance benefits provided under the Social Welfare Act, 1952. The numbers of these latter stamps which gave title to unemployment benefit sold in the years mentioned in the question were as follows:—
