Vol. 160 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Loans Fund.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the name of each local authority which has applied to his Department for permission to borrow from the Local Loans Fund and to which a decision has not yet been notified; and if he will state in respect of each such application (a) the amount applied for, (b) the purpose to which the required loan is to be applied, (c) the date of application, and (d) the reason for the delay in arriving at a decision.

The information is being compiled and will be forwarded to the Deputy.

I wanted to get this information on the records of the House. I do not want the information myself.

It is bound to be recorded if it is supplied to the Deputy.

It was supplied to the Deputy in July last. It is not on the records.

In response to a question asked?

Yes. The Minister informed me the information would be "forwarded to the Deputy". I got the information in due course but it is not in on the records.

The Deputy has a method whereby it can be put on the records of the House. I need not inform him as to what that method is.

The reply as given to the member is put on the records of the House.
