Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Medical Register.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state in respect of Cork City (a) the total number of applications for entry on the medical register under the Health Act, 1953, which have been received up to 20th October, 1956, or the latest date for which the information is available, (b) the number rejected, (c) the number approved, and (d) the number under consideration.

The numbers are as follows:—

(a) Total number of applications received

10,480

(b) Number of applications rejected

1,259

(c) Number of applications granted

9,071

(d) Number of applications under consideration

150

These figures are for the period up to 30th September, 1956, the latest date for which figures are available and include cases in the Cork rural dispensary districts which extend outside the city boundary.
