Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Employment.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the total number of men employed on State forestry work on 10th November of this year and on the corresponding date last year.

On 10th November, 1956, 4,732 men were employed on forestry work by my Department. On the corresponding date in 1955, 4,942 men were employed.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the number of men employed at each forest centre on 10th November of this year and on the corresponding date last year.

The information sought by the Deputy is given in detailed form in a statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the official report.
