Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Atomic Energy Reactor.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether any reply has yet been made to the offer of the United States Government to provide Ireland with an atomic energy reactor.

A Bilateral Agreement for co-operation between the Government of Ireland and the Government of the United States of America concerning the civil uses of atomic energy which will permit the acquisition by Ireland, if the Government wishes, of an experimental atomic reactor, has been signed, and will be submitted to Dáil Éireann by the Minister for External Affairs on a motion seeking approval for the terms of the agreement at the earliest possible opportunity.
