Vol. 160 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tenders for Cork School.

asked the Minister for Finance (a) whether tenders have been invited for the erection of a national school at Lissigriffin, Goleen, County Cork, (b) whether tenders have been accepted for the execution of the work, and (c) when work is likely to commence.

Tenders for the erection of a new national school at Lissigriffin, County Cork, were invited in May, 1956, but no tenders were received. Re-invitation of tenders was deferred because of the extent of the existing contractual commitments of the Commissioners of Public Works. I regret that I am not yet in a position to say when the case can proceed.
