Vol. 160 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Emigration from South Dublin Areas.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of persons who emigrated from (a) Dún Laoghaire, and (b) Rathdown in each of the years 1950 to 1956.

Particulars of net emigration are available only for intercensal periods and for individual counties. It is not, therefore, possible to supply the Deputy with the particulars for which he asks, but it may be stated that in the intercensal period 1951-1956 the net emigration from Dublin City and County to all areas has been estimated at 36,357.
