Vol. 160 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aughrim (Wicklow) Social Welfare Officer.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state (a) the name of the succesful candidate for the post of social welfare officer in Aughrim, County Wicklow, (b) if the person appointed holds any other public appointment, and (c) whether residence in the area was one of the advertised conditions for this post.

The question presumably refers to the post of Local Agent which recently became vacant at Aughrim, County Wicklow. In relation to the post the position is as follows:—

(a) No candidate was successful.

(b) An appointment has not been made but the duties have been assigned, on a trial basis, to a neighbouring agent.

(c) Yes.
