Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Income-Tax Agreement.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the agreement in relation to income-tax which was made with the Canadian Government prior to the change of Government in 1954 has come into effect, and, if not, why not.

The Income Tax Agreement concluded between Canada and Ireland on the 28th October, 1954, came into force on the 20th December, 1955, when the instruments of ratification of the Agreement were exchanged. A notice to this effect appeared in the Press on the 21st December, 1955.
