Vol. 160 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Grants for Offaly.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in relation to the Offaly County Council the amount of the allocation from the Local Loans Fund sanctioned for supplementary, housing grants, the amount already drawn by the council, and when the council may expect to receive the next instalment.

In the current financial year the county council has drawn £6,500 from the Local Loans Fund in respect of the supplementary housing grants out of the loan of £20,000 sanctioned in February last for that purpose. The question of issues from the fund to housing authorities generally for supplementary housing grants is at present under consideration in the light of the overall demand on the fund for capital works.
