Vol. 161 No. 2

Committee on Finance. - Central Fund Bill, 1957—All Stages.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to apply certain sums out of the Central Fund to the service of the years ending on the 31st day of March, 1957 and 1958.—(Minister for Finance.)
Agreed to take further stages to-day.

I move that the Bill be now read a Second Time.

Might I take advantage of this opportunity to ask the Minister whether he has yet determined the date of the Budget?

I am afraid not.

I take it that it will not be the first day the Dáil sits?

Certainly not.

I want to put a few questions to the Minister.

Bill passed through Committee, reported without amendment, received for final consideration and passed.

This Bill is certified a Money Bill within the meaning of Article 22 of the Constitution.
