Lynch asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when it is proposed to extend rural electrification to the Kilwatermoy area of Tallow, County Waterford; and, if no decision has yet been reached, whether, in view of the 75 per cent. successful canvass in the area, he will ask the E.S.B. to have the work begun as early as possible.

I am informed by the E.S.B. that an official canvass was recently carried out in this area, and that it will shortly be considered by the board for selection. The decision of the board will depend on how the returns for the area compare with those for other areas awaiting development in the Cork No. II District.
