The New Ross Harbour Commissioners recently asked for my consent to borrow money to meet the cost of hiring a dredger for certain preliminary trial dredging in the approach channel. This consent has been conveyed to the harbour commissioners.
Proposals made by the harbour commissioners for strengthening the quay wall and deepening alongside are at present under examination by my technical advisers.
