Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Appointments Recommended by Local Appointments Commission.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of appointments recommended by the Local Appointments Commission each year during the past three financial years in respect of (a) Government staff, (b) local authority officers and (c) subsidiary bodies.

The Local Appointments Commission has no functions in relation to Government staff, its functions being, in practice, confined to certain situations under local authorities and harbour authorities.

The number of persons recommended by the commission during the past three financial years for appointment to situations under such authorities was:—
