Sums of £1,665,000 and £1,364,000 were issued to the Road Fund from the Central Fund on foot of receipts of motor taxation, etc., in the six months ended 30th September, 1957, and 1958, respectively. In addition, a repayable advance of £900,000 was made from the Central Fund to the Road Fund in the six months ended 30th September, 1957.
