Vol. 171 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. - Housing Acts Officers.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the fact that the posts of appointed officers under the Housing Acts are now being abolished except in a few county boroughs and in County Dublin, he will state why the prescribed fee payable by applicants to such officers will now be payable to him.

The posts of appointed officers under the Housing Acts are not being abolished, but the duties attaching to them are now being performed by officers of my Department in all areas except those mentioned by the Deputy. The prescribed fees are payable by applicants to my Department in respect of the services of the officers of my Department who carry out these duties.
