Vol. 171 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Price of Flour.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether any proposals for a reduction in the price of flour of from 5/- to 10/- per sack have been made to him by the Flour Millers' Association; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the official statement which appeared in the public Press on 14th November and which dealt, inter alia, with a reduction in the price of flour.

Is the Minister going to say what request was made to him, as suggested in the question?

There is nothing like that involved in the question.

The question asks whether any proposals were made and so on.

I think the official statement deals fully with the matter.

It did not say what proposals were made to the Minister. The Minister is very coy to-day. He will not answer any question.
