asked the Taoiseach if he will state the weekly increase in wages required at each subsequent quarterly publication of the consumer price index to restore the purchasing power of adult and juvenile farm workers' wages in each of the agricultural wages areas to the value obtaining on 28th May, 1956.

The following statement shows, for each date of compilation of the consumer price index since mid-May, 1956, the percentage increase in the index since mid-May, 1956, and the weekly amounts (to the nearest penny) which represent the same proportional change in each of the minimum weekly rates specified in the Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) Order, 1956.
ADJUSTMENTS TO THE MINIMUM AGRICULTURAL WAGE RATES SPECIFIED IN THE AGRICULTURAL WAGES (MINIMUM RATES) ORDER 1956, PROPORTIONAL TO THE CHANGES IN THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX BETWEEN MID-MAY 1956, AND THE DATE SPECIFIED IN THE FIRST COLUMN BELOW.
