Vol. 171 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Footbridge over Glenamoy (Mayo) River.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that the attendance of children at Glenamoy National School, County Mayo, is being interrupted, or about to be interrupted, by the condition of the footbridge over the river at Glenamoy; and, if so, whether he will have inquiries made and suitable directions given so as to have the matter remedied.

I have no official knowledge of this matter. I have, however, had inquiries made and have ascertained that the local parish priest has written to the Special Employment Schemes Office concerning the footbridge in question. I have requested that office to communicate as soon as possible with the parish priest regarding the steps which will need to be taken to have the bridge repaired.
