Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Control of Exports.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the description of the goods the export of which is controlled by him, and the date and reference of the Order applicable in each case.

Mr. Lynch

The only goods the export of which is controlled by the Minister for Education are (a) objects declared to be archaeological objects and (b) documents and pictures of national, historical, genealogical or literary interest.

This control is exercised under (a) The National Monuments Acts, 1930 and 1954 (No. 2 of 1930 and No. 37 of 1954), and (b) The Documents and Pictures (Regulation of Export) Act, 1945 (No. 29 of 1945).
