Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork City Reconstruction Grants.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the number of applications for reconstruction grants for houses in the Cork City area that are (a) awaiting inspection, (b) awaiting inspection for longer than two months, (c) awaiting final inspection, and (d) awaiting payment after final inspection.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of Cork City the number of applications for reconstruction grants awaiting inspection (a) in his Department and (b) in Cork Corporation for (i) over 12 months, (ii) six to 12 months, (iii) three to six months, and (iv) under three months.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 94 and 95 together, and, as the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, to circulate it with the Official Report.

The following is the statement:—

Grants for reconstruction, repair and improvement of houses.

Number of cases awaiting initial inspect on preparatory to allocation of grant.

There are no cases at present awaiting inspection by the Department's inspector for a period of more than two months. There are no cases awaiting inspection by the Cork Corporation for periods of two or more months.
