Vol. 171 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dependents of Murdered or Executed I.R.A. Men.

48.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is in a position to give an approximate date for the introduction of amending legislation to deal with dependents of I.R.A. men murdered or executed during the Black and Tan period and referred to by him in Seanad Éireann on 11th July, 1957.

An amending Army Pensions Bill which will provide, amongst other things, for the cases referred to by the Deputy is in course of preparation. I hope to be in a position to introduce it early in the New Year.
