Vol. 171 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Regulations for Visitors to Curragh Internees.

49.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will relax the existing regulations in order to enable relatives of internees at Curragh Camp to visit them during the Christmas period.

It is not necessary to relax the detention regulations for that purpose. The requisite provision is already there and the men are familiar with the procedure.

I may add that the men have been advised that if any of them cared to make application for parole for Christmas, their applications would be considered.
