It is proposed to take Business in the following order: Nos. 5, 6, 7, 2, 3 and 1. It is not proposed to interrupt Public Business to take Private Deputies' business. I am not prepared to make Government time available for that.
Could the Tánaiste indicate whether it will be possible to discuss this matter prior to the recess? May I put it this way: I do not want to embarrass the Government, but this is a very important matter. Will it be possible to have the motion taken in conjunction with the Supplementary Estimate for Lands which will be taken to-night?
It is not the same subject matter as that contained in the Supplementary Estimate.
It has a bearing in connection with the amount of money and the purpose for which it is being supplied.
The Chair has ruled quite definitely that it has no bearing whatever on the Supplementary Estimate.
I shall not dispute your ruling. All I am anxious to ensure is that time will be made available for a discussion of this matter.
