Written Answers. - County Dublin Main Road Improvements.

59.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state generally the nature and location of main road improvements sanctioned by his Department or likely to be undertaken in County Dublin in 1959-60.

Table I hereunder shows a list of the schemes proposed for execution by Dublin County Council in 1959-60 under their Annual Main Road Improvement Grant. The schemes were approved in principle by my Department, subject to satisfactory settlement of the question of the acquisition of any lands required, on the 6th instant.

Table II shows a list of alternative proposals submitted by the Council for execution in the event that they might be unable to proceed with any of the proposals set out in Table I by reason of difficulty in obtaining any necessary land, etc. The alternative proposals were also approved in principle subject to the same qualification, on the 6th instant.
