Vol. 174 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ships Leaving Irish Ports.

4.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the number of ships leaving Irish ports with cargo in 1958 for ports in (a) Great Britain, (b) the Six Counties, and (c) the State; and if he will give a break-down of the nationality of the ships in each case.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the required information. It should be noted that the figures for departures to other ports in the State include departures of ships engaged in coastal trade and also departures of foreign going ships which intended to call at another port in the State before proceeding to a foreign destination.

NUMBER and nationality of ships leaving ports in the State with cargo for ports in Great Britain, the Six Counties and for other ports in the State.
