asked the Minister for Agriculture how many of the 64,484 reactor cattle which were bought by his Department were, when slaughtered, found to be unfit for human consumption.

The information is not readily available in the form requested by the Deputy, but the proportion of meat in these cattle found to be unfit for human consumption is less than 4 per cent.
