asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of areas in which rural electrification schemes have yet to be carried out.
I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that approximately 150 rural areas remained to be developed under the rural electrification scheme at 31st March, 1959. Prior to that date, 648 areas had been developed under the scheme.
