Vol. 176 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Knocknagree (Cork) School.

29.

asked the Minister for Education when it is proposed to erect a new national school at Knocknagree, County Cork.

A grant has been sanctioned by my Department for the erection of a new National School at Knocknagree, Co. Cork.

The further arrangements for the erection of the new school are in the hands of the Commissioners of Public Works. These arrangements include the preparation of detailed working drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities etc., and will necessarily take some time to complete. I am unable to say at present when work on the erection of the school is likely to start, but I can assure the Deputy that every effort will be made to have the case dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
