Vol. 176 No. 13

Business of the Dáil.

I think it might be no harm to inform the Dáil—no Motion is necessary—that it has been agreed to sit later than 5 p.m. if necessary until the business ordered has been completed. No formal Motion is required but Deputies should be aware of what the decision is.

It has been agreed to sit up to 10.30, I presume? If we do not finish by 10.30——

If that situation should appear likely to emerge, we can consider the position again and move any motion necessary requiring the House to sit later than 10.30.

It would facilitate the completion of the business if the Taoiseach could deliver a little homily to some of his Ministers. The Minister for Finance held up business for a long time this morning by his attitude.

Whereas the Minister for Industry and Commerce disarmed criticism.

The good example of his predecessors.
