Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Projects: Encouragement of American Enterprise.

30.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) the names of the representatives appointed to encourage, under the auspices of his Department or of semi-State bodies, American enterprise to set up industrial projects in this country and (b) the number of projects actually started as a result of the efforts of each such representative.

The campaign to encourage American manufacturers to set up industries in this country has been entrusted to the Industrial Development Authority, who have one full time representative in the U.S.A., Count McCormack. Since their campaign commenced, eleven new projects have been started by or in conjunction with American interests.
