asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state what proposals are before him from the Limerick Corporation for approval, and the position in each case.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Leas-Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

PROPOSALS* from Limerick Corporation before the Minister for Local Government for approval.

Proposal for which approval is sought

Present Position

Housing:

Acceptance of tender for 78 houses at Carey's Road.

Received 31st October, 1959—Under examination.

Revised layout for 40 houses, Garryowen-Pennywell Link Road scheme.

Received 31st October, 1959—Under examination.

Sanitary Services:

Contract documents for drainage scheme at Caherdavin, Ennis Road.

Received 25th August, 1959—This is a joint scheme being undertaken in conjunction with Limerick County Council.

Contract documents from Limerick County Council for their portion of the scheme are awaited before the Limerick Corporation proposals can be approved.

Galvone Main Drainage.

Scheme approved in principle —working drawings awaited.

Roads:

Request for special grant for improvement of Courtbrack Avenue.

No technical documents received. The principle of the proposal is being examined.

The construction of a further section of the ring road at Ballinacurra under the Road Fund Grant 1959-60.

Technical documents received 10-8-1959. Further details were requested from the local authority's technical staff and were received on 28th October, 1959.

* Proposals are interpreted as meaning proposals for works.
