I have recently been informed by the county manager that, in the light of information which has become available since the reorganisation proposals were originally submitted to my Department, he considers that certain amendments thereto should be made.
The matter was considered by the county council at their meeting of the 26th October, 1959, and a committee of the council was set up to examine the revised proposals and to submit their recommendations to the council. I understand that the first meeting of the committee has been arranged for Monday, the 14th December.
