Vol. 178 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Incident in Cork Restaurant.

14.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is now in a position to make a statement on the recent incident in a Cork City restaurant where members of the Defence Forces were refused service because they were in uniform.

I am not at present in a position to make a statement in regard to the incident referred to by the Deputy.

Can the Minister say at this stage whether his inquiries so far have established that the service was refused only because the members of the Defence Forces were in uniform?

The inquiries have not been completed yet.
